Doodle ended up surviving birth. Doodle looked up to brother but brother was embarrassed by Doodle. Brother pushed Doodle till he could walk but he wanted him to be normal. One day while they were out practicing it started to storm. Brother ran and doodle fell behind and died so it is brothers fault he died. Bother pushed Doodle over the edge trying to make Doodle normal also he had very mixed emotions about how he felt towards Doodle and during all this brother knew what he was doing was wrong to try to make Doodle normal because he was embarrassed by him. Bother pushed Doodle over the edge on multiple occasions. An example form the story was when he was teaching him to walk and he just kept picking him up and he kept falling down(Hurst 432). He also made Doodle practice till he couldn’t do anything at all. I way brother pushed doodle too far mentally is when he shows Doodle his coffin and makes him touch it. Brother also made him practice in a storm which resulted in his death. Brother emotions were also a big factor in it being brothers fault that doodle died. When doodle was first born brother hated him because he wanted a normal brother to play with.An example of Brother’s feelings towards Doodle when he was born is “I began to make plans to kill him by smothering him with a pillow”(Hurst 430). Brother also would also pull doodle through cotton fields to make him not want to come with him. Brother also shows he loved doodle by when he finds him dead, he starts to cry over his body. So brother’s relationship with Brother was a love/hate relationship. Another reason is that brother’s fault for doodle’s death is he know what he was doing to doodle and continued to do it. Brother knew what he was doing to doodle was wrong. At one point he even said, “that Doodle walked only because I was ashamed of having a crippled brother”(Hurst 434). Doodle looked up to brother and Brother just wanted doodle to leave him alone. Brother was aware he was overworked doodle during training because of the way that Doodle acted after. Brother was fully aware of what he was doing so the way it brothers fault. It was Brothers fault that doodle died. Bother pushed doodle over the edge trying to make doodle more normal also he had very mixed emotions about how he felt towards doodle and during all this brother knew what he was doing was wrong to try to make doodle normal because he was embarrassed by him.Work CitedHurst, James.
