A last country to rule Taiwan as

A country is a region that is identified as a distinct national entity in political geography. A country may be an independent sovereign state or one that is occupied by another state, as a non-sovereign or formerly sovereign political division, or a geographic region associated with sets of previously independent or differently associated people with distinct political characteristics. But sometimes, we also use the term country to refer to a sovereign state only. Because each government establish its own diplomatic relation with what they recognized as a country, there is no universal agreement on the number of “countries” in the world.        Independent countries are autonomous states that are self-governing and self-determining. Once independence has been achieved, a nation does not rely upon another for help to run its government, nor are important decisions made by an outside body. Taiwan is consider as an independent country.        Lots of people say that Taiwan belongs to China, which is not true. There are 6 countries that had ruled Taiwan and counted Taiwan as a part of their country. The last country to rule Taiwan as a colony is China. This happened when Japanese had lost in World War II and ceded Taiwan to China. After that, Kuomintang lost the Chinese civil war and escape to Taiwan.  Because the Communist Party, who won the Chinese civil war and became the Chinese government, did not  care a lot about  Taiwan, Kuomintang succeed on building Taiwan’s preliminary politics.  Later on, the Communist Party gradually stopping administering Taiwan, so Mister Sun Yat-sen, the Father of Taiwan, set up Taiwan as an independent country, Republic Of China (ROC) , in the year 1949.        There are also some countries that account Taiwan as an independent country, such as United States. Taiwan had also join in some “national” competition and organization too. In March 23rd,1981, the Chinese Olympic Committee and the International Olympic Committee signed the agreement and approval in Switzerland to make Taiwan able to participate in the Olympics. Also, Taiwan had take part in 37 Intergovernmental organizations, including WHO, WTO, GPA, WHA, ICAO…        The other idea which can prove that Taiwan is an Independent country is Taiwan’s own culture. Taiwan has all the history, geography, political form difference with any other countries. Taiwan has it’s own land, own people, own environment. The unique flag is also an important symbol of this independent country, Taiwan.        Although there are still some people that think Taiwan as a colony of China, it is an independent country.
